Say hello to one of our amazing Alt Marketing School teachers, the awesome strategist Ren. It was a pleasure to talk to her about leadership, setting expectations with clients, the role of purpose in marketing and so much more. We even go down memory lane exploring how we met, the way she brought leadership into the Alt Marketing School curriculum and why failure is something we need to make more space for.

Ren is a strategy consultant who specialises in purpose-led communications. With a background in charity and social enterprise marketing and business strategy, she attended Cambridge Judge Business School’s Social Venture’s Incubator and is passionate about the relationship between service offerings and their social and environmental impact. From mass audience communications on climate change with Count Us In, to capturing the food-loving values of the rapidly growing Rosa’s Thai, Ren is well-versed at ensuring purpose is at the heart of her clients’ communications and across their internal workstreams.

As the proud owner of two sustainable fashion brands, a silversmith and a #BlackStrat member, she’ll also bring a fresh perspective from her multidisciplinary background.
