CLASS IN SESSION

By implementing these two tactics, you can better meet your audience and subscribers along in their buyer journey and qualify new website visitors

The truth is, not all questions were created equal. Hopefully, by implementing these two tactics, you can better meet your visitors and subscribers along in their buyer journey.

Let us share a little secret with you. Marketing, at its core, is about asking excellent questions (directly and indirectly). This class explores two simple ways to better qualify new website visitors. Meeting your visitors and leads where they are already at means they feel seen.

You may looking to refine a current product, validate a new project or simplify your overall strategy. Regardless, asking the right questions (to yourself) and your audience is a game-changer.

Asking people about their struggles and problems enables you to understand which gaps need to be filled. All you need is a little help from headteacher Fab.

Step one ask visitors what they are struggling with

We are big fans of meeting people where they are at. When people land to your website, they come for a very specific reason. In buying psychology, we define this as “trigger event”.

Most times, they are not aware of their trigger, but they are well aware of the “pain” or problem they are experiencing.

We saw a true shift when we installed a simple bot on our website, and started running short message-based surveys on what people “needed help with”.

We wanted people to tap into their struggles as we found those to be what people could truly resonate with. Since we asked them about a problem, they were more likely to answer just to find a solution to their predicament.

They need you to help them. Asking people about their struggles and problems truly helps you understand which gaps need to be filled.

Step two: ask new subscribers what brought them to you

People do not subscribe to your newsletter because they love you, they head to your website because there is something in it for them.

Use “one minute surveys” to help you qualify your new subscribers straight away. This will help you better understand which stage are your leads at, and how to send the right emails to them.

For new leads you can ask one question survey: WHAT WAS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE THAT BROUGHT YOU TO ALT MARKETING SCHOOL (YOUR GOAL) TODAY?

You can us the long form answer for your email sequence or welcome email.

Keep asking questions to qualify new website visitors

Regardless of whether you are looking to refine a current product, validate a new project or simplify your overall strategy, asking the right questions (to yourself) and your customers is a game changer.

Truth is, not all questions were created equal. Hopefully, by implementing these two tactics you can become a better listener for the people you are trying to serve.
